Solar LED HAPI

Solar LED HAPI

The Solar Series LED HAPI is the industries most efficient and most installed Solar LED HAPI system, supporting civil, military and humanitarian aid operations around the world. Whether it’s permanently installed in a remote location or a portable installation for humanitarian aid missions, the Solar Series LED HAPI drastically increases safety and situational awareness for any operation.

The Solar LED Heliport Approach Path Indicator (HAPI) offers the industries most advanced, energy efficient LED optics, greatly reducing the power requirements to operate 24 hours per day, providing pilots with visual course and descent cues. The optimum location of a HAPI is on the extended centerline of the approach path at a distance that brings the helicopter to a hover with the undercarriage between 3 and 8 feet (0.9 to 2.5 m) above the TLOF. The ICAO and FAA compliant optics have both visible and NVG-compatible modes with the ability to be powered by solar, battery, generator, or mains power. The energy efficient design greatly reduces the amount of solar power required to operate the LED HAPI, allowing for smaller, compact solar systems to be used, greatly reducing the system cost and installation time.
