For Immediate Release

Victoria, BC, Canada. June 15, 2010 --/ Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) has purchased a second AV70 Series solar powered taxiway lighting system from Avlite Systems.  With the AV70 Series operating successfully for close to a year now, GAIA required an additional solar taxiway lighting system for one of its unlighted taxiways supporting international air traffic.  Working with ARC Aviation Renewables Corp., a consultant for Avlite Systems, GAIA outlined a specific set of requirements that the AV70 Series taxiway lighting system was required to meet.  The ability to provide rugged, high quality, maintenance free lighting system with an industry leading 3 year warranty was a must for year round operations.  The positive feedback received from current operations at GAIA over the past 11 months along with additional international airports operating Avlite solar lighting throughout the Caribbean resulted in GAIA’s second purchase.   As one of the most prestigious airports in the Caribbean and the gateway for Barbados, GAIA continues to lead the way as a leader in renewable, energy efficient airport lighting and power solutions.

ARC Aviation Renewables Corp. and the industry leading aviation manufacturers its consults for continues to provide energy saving solar powered lighting solutions for some of the most busiest international airports in the world including Grantley Adams of Barbados , Vancouver International and Greater Toronto International of Canada,  Memphis International Airport of the U.S.A and Kandahar Internattional Airport of Afghanistan.
