For Immediate Release

Victoria BC, Canada. 24 June, 2010 --/ Ali Al Salem Air Base of Kuwait has placed a fourth order for Avlite’s solar powered LED airfield sign lighting along with replaceable batteries and LED luminares.  The additional batteries and LED luminares will support more than sixty AV-SIGN-20 systems already in use at the Air Base.  The AV-SIGN-20 is being used to externally light taxiway guidance, distance remaining and directional airfield signage.  The self-contained solar LED sign lighting provides significant safety, navigational and maintenance benefits independent of the electrical grid.  With minimal heat signature from the AV-SIGN-20, pilots are able to navigate the runways, taxiways and apron areas under night vision goggles (NVG) or unaided eye. As a testament to the quality and durability of the Avlite solar LED sign lighting solutions, the signs must operate in the summer during constant heat levels above 55 degrees Celsius.

As the OEM supplier for the US ARMY MOTS program, the Avlite tactical solar aviation lights are designed to operate under milspec requirements which includes a 3 year warranty, replaceable battery, encrypted radio control and custom designed aviation optical lens.  The only solar LED lighting manufacturer of complete airfield lighting system solutions for the US Forces, NATO and commercial airports, Avlite continues to develop rugged, reliable, on time solutions for its customers worldwide.  For more information on renewable aviation solutions and tactical airfield lighting, please visit aviationrenewables.com or avlite.com
