The LED UniDirectional Approach Lights (UDALs) consist of five sequential strobe lights located on the extended centerline of the runway at the approach end. The main application of an LED UDALs system is to identify the runway centerline and threshold of a visual or instrument non-precision runway.

Ergonomically constructed to endure all weather environments, the LED REIL & UDAL are the most installed portable battery powered LED uni directional LED approach lighting model in its class. Rapid ‘drop in’ charging and extensive run times cut down on management and maintenance costs, improving the total cost of ownership for all types of LED approach lighting applications. With 4 LED approach lighting intensity settings, the LED UDALS can adhere to various LED runway lighting standards for day and night operations. Optionally, the unit can be solar powered for permanent LED runway lighting and LED approach lighting installation with no power input required.
