The Solar Series LED Unidirectional Approach Light System (UDALS) consists of five sequence LED strobe approach lights located at the ends of each runway approach end providing a “rabbit effect” for incoming pilots. Ideal for lower visibility approach environments, leading to stable highly visible approaches and increased runway safety.

Ergonomically constructed to endure all weather environments, the LED UDAL is the most compact solar powered LED approach lighting system in its class.  Efficient LED optics support self-contained frangible solar power systems capable of supporting continuous LED approach lighting run times helping to reduce management and maintenance costs. LED approach lightingintensity settings can be set in visible mode, capable of operating in sync with the LED REIL (Runway End Identifier Light).
