Retro Reflective Edge Light Markers for Taxiway and Runway Lighting

Aviation Renewables supplied the Government of NWT with extra tall 36” highly retro reflective edge light markers (RELMS) to add visibility to taxiway and runway lights in areas subject to large amounts of collected snow. These snowplow markers have reflective sleeves that are easily replaced when required to ensure long product lifespan. The easily installed reflective markers are a small investment to avoid costly damage of lighting equipment from snowplows.

Solar Airfield Lighting Operating at the Caribbean Private Airport

Aviation Renewables was awarded a contract to design, deliver product, install and commission a complete off-grid, autonomous solar airfield lighting and marking system at Carriacou Airport in Grenada. After careful consultation with the airport management team and Civil Aviation Authority, a complete ICAO compliant solar LED runway lighting system was requested for delivery within 7 weeks of award. The system consisted of Solar LED runway and threshold lights as well as an autonomous taxiway marking system for day and nighttime operations. This project was completed within the limited time frame and restricted budget.

Portable Airfield Lighting Operating at Canadian International Airport

Aviation Renewables delivered a portable airfield lighting system for Erik Neilson International Airport in Yukon Territory, Canada. The versatile system will allow the airport to maintain operations in case of an emergency outage of the primary lighting system. In addition, the system can also be deployed to other airports within the territory during construction operations, planned maintenance activities or disaster response airport exercises. The portable LED airfield lighting system charging trailers required a custom electrical charging solution compatible to both the international airport and remote regional airport infrastructure requirements. Training was carried out onsite for airport electrical staff, maintenance operators emergency crew personnel.

Aviation Renewables designed a custom windsock as part of a solar powered, emergency heliport lighting system in the UK. The system features a Solar Series LED Wind Cone that shares a common solar power system with a portable LED helipad lighting system, and radio controller. This emergency lighting system allows remote communities to be reached 24/7 by medevac helicopter, greatly enhancing emergency response times in these areas.

Aviation Renewables was tasked with the design, installation, training and commisioning of an LED airfield Lighting System at a private civil airport in Lao PDR. The system features a Solar Series LED PAPI and LED runway edge, and threshold lighting. Aviation Renewables traveled to the site for the first phase, and had the system installed and operational in 3 days for the self-contained approach system to increase the safety of all approaches. As part of a longer term capital investment, the second phase consisted of LED runway lighting to enable safe night landings.

Aviation Renewables was tasked with the supply, training and commissioning of a portable LED runway lighting system for an International Airport located in the Caribbean. The entire portable LED runway lighting system solution is stored, transported and charged in the civilian designed mobile trailer. The airport is able to transport the equipment to any location within the air eld within minutes notice as a contingency on demand system, ready for quick deployment in the case of a power failure to the main runway lighting system or unforeseen circumstances such as a displaced threshold or natural disaster.
